Rioja 2020 (2021)

The work is a series composed of six landscapes from northern Spain, depicted through magical realism.
This effect is achieved by introducing marine animals into the scenes as if they naturally belonged there.

The aesthetic and core concept stem from “Travel Journal II”, and are brought to life on a larger scale—where the viewer is no longer just observing a field notebook, but stepping directly into it. It functions as an expanded field notebook, breaking the boundaries of its traditional format.

The sharply defined geometric shapes on Kraft paper act as windows into my reinterpretation of these lived landscapes.
