The sofas were already here when I arrived... (2021)

The book-work captures a memory and experience of a place where I once was.
The piece is handcrafted to evoke the format of a Travel Log, to which it relates. The landscape — a small village lost on the way to Ourense — corresponds to the house of a friend who opened
her doors to me under the pretext of a university project.

The space is depicted as a panoramic view, combining different perspectives of her outdoor patio.

The title of the work comes from a question I decided to ask, surprised by its location:
Me — “Why are there two armchairs in the middle of your patio?”
Her — “The sofas were already here when I arrived.”
