Yolanda Series (2025)
“Yolanda” is a project that speaks of my relationship with my grandmother Yolanda, who for several years has been suffering from an age-related illness that has left her disconnected from the world and the people around her.
The work is presented as a metaphor for the passage of time and oblivion. Using photographs found in her personal archive, a narrative unfolds that progresses from her birth, childhood, adolescence, married life, to the present day... where the photographs fade with time and new images appear and disappear, accompanying her life.
Those last images belong to her children and grandchildren, who share their lives on the page, a memory that no longer exists in Yolanda's mind...
